OYSF’s 2021 At a Glance

Increasing access to our enriching sport is OYSF’s annual goal. With your support, we’ve achieved that goal again in 2021. Most notable was the significant expansion of our Community Sailing camps for teens with little to no water access. Since last year, we expanded our programming from four to ten weeks and quadrupled the number of participants.

The aim of our Community Sailing Program is to enrich lives, increase diversity in our sport and create life-long sailors in Oregon. Our camps are provided at no cost to participants, and anyone interested in returning is offered continued sail and instructor training. We’ll likely see several of our 2021 sailors and all our partner organizations back next year!

In addition to this sizeable Community Sailing Program, OYSF is committed to supporting collegiate sailing, racing in the Columbia River Gorge, fleet and program expansion in places like Eugene, Newport, Hood River and Portland, as well as public events like the RiversWest Family Boat Build and our Sailing Film Festival. Raising more to give more is the name of our game.
