This year, we expanded our free Community Sailing Program from spring and fall to the warm winds and waters of summer. Over 5 weeks, more than 100 Portland Metro kids with little to no boating experience went to the Willamette Sailing Club (WSC) to learn the basics of sailing and river fun. The overwhelming response from participants can be summarized as…AWESOME!
This program is a priority for OYSF, so expect to see plenty of it in the seasons to come. Our goal is to introduce more and more Portland youth to the joys of sailing and get them back at WSC to continue learning and training to become sailing coaches themselves!
